Priority A-Develop a regional suicide prevention strategy
Timeframe for the drafting of recommendations
Between 2010 and 2013, the suicide prevention working committee under the chairmanship of Daniellie Qinnuajuaq drafted two sets of recommendations.
The Mental health advisory committee, under the leadership of Charlie Nowkawalk adjusted and approved the two sets of recommendations.
The NRBHSS board of directors studied and adopted the first set of recommendations in December 2012 and the second set in December 2013.

Priority B – Strengthen the services and residential resources for individuals living with chronic mental health illnesses
Timeframe for the drafting of recommendations
In 2010 and 2011, the Mental health services and resources working committee, under the chairwomanship of Alasua Kenuajua drafted a first and final set of recommendations.
The Mental health advisory committee and the NRBHSS board of directors studied and adopted these recommendations in December 2012.

Priority C-Develop a regional program for mental illness prevention and mental well-being promotion
Timeframe for the drafting of recommendations
Since 2013, the Prevention/promotion working committee is active under the chairwomanship of Lucy Kumarluk. The working committee is hopeful to be in a position to draft final recommendations in early 2015.
